North Central District Advisor: Bob Peterson

I became a Thunderbird fan in 1955. Everyday when I would walk home from school I would walk by the Ford dealer's show room. I went in many times to sit in the really neat '55 T-Bird. But, a salesman would always show me the door and say come back when I have a drivers license. I have owned several Thunderbird including a 1966, 1969, 1971, and 1972.

In 1981 I started the 'Thunderbirds of America' Club for 1967 and On Thunderbirds. After serving as President and Editor of the 'Big Bird' newsletter for 13 years the club dissolved in the early 1990's. The members were encouraged to join the ITC. I am one of the first members of the ITC but not a 'Charter Member'. I serve the ITC as the North Central District Advisor and I always enjoy being a judge at their shows.

In the photo I am toasting the 36th birthday of my 1972 Thunderbird, The car is the 1,000,000th Thunderbird produced and was built special for the occasion on June 22, 1972.
