NE District Advisor & Audio/Video: Frank Starkes
Frank and his wife Jean live in Claverack, N.Y, a small town upstate, about 30 miles south of Albany. Frank has always been an avid car enthusiast, and a Saturday afternoon date in high school days often would find Jean and Frank touring a junk yard for parts. Franks first car, a 1937 Chevy Sport Coupe, used on their first date, is now duplicated in his collection of various makes of cars. He became interested in Thunderbirds about 20 years ago, and they now own a 62 Sports Roadster, 66 Town Landau, 66 Convertible, and a 2002. Frank has been a member of I.T.C. since the beginning, has attended every Convention, has organized the Convention Caravans, has written many articles for the Script, is a member of The Upstate N.Y. Chapter, and has co-hosted many Spring Fever events. He is also President of the 85 member Columbia Car Club in his area. He started his career with G.E, and in 1964 founded The Frank W. Starkes Insurance Agency, and in 1971 founded Red Apple Realty, Inc, and still manages both entities today. Frank and Jean have four daughters, four grandchildren, and next to family; Franks pride and joy is their home which he built himself in 1960-61, and his cars.
