Monday
Registration Opens

9:30 am to 2:00 pm
  Motorcoach Tour to New Salem Village. (Lincoln’s home before he became an attorney in Springfield). The village is less than a mile long and has dozens of 1820’s log cabins and buildings. Walk a mile or a block in this beautiful forested village. See introductory video at visitor center. Gift shop and restaurant on the grounds. Lunch on your own. A limited number of wheelchairs are available. A tour of Lincoln’s impressive Tomb on the return to Springfield.

Motorcoach Tour to the Frank Lloyd Wright house. This is Wright’s largest and most beautiful Prarie style house with 12,000 sq. feet, 35 rooms on 18 levels, and 250 special stainglass windows. Lunch at the Incredibly Delicious restaurant. The tour continues to the Illinois Museum, and State Capitol. Many stairs on these tours.

  2010 Thunderbird Olympic Games-Crowne Plaza Northeast section of parking lot. Bring your T-Bird
( 2 people required for each T-Bird entry).
Thursday
   
10:00 am
  Route 66 Day. Drive your T-Bird to Atlanta, IL on the Old Route 66 Cruise/Tour. Visit the Route 66 museum in Atlanta and have lunch on your own at the period correct Palms Cafe. Visit the 1900 Carneige 8 sided Library, and the restored Hawes grain elevator museum. It’s a small 1950’s town that time forgot. Atlanta wants a T-Bird car show on main street. A visit to Shea’s Route 66 museum and the Cozy Dog Drive Inn on the return trip.
