Watkins Glen '02 -- A Big Success for the ITC!

Some 64 convention 'birds take to the famous Glen track!

The convention was a wonderful experience, with well over 100 registrations and just under 100 Thunderbirds. The Living Legends Tour showed up with not four, but FIVE concept cars! The fifth car was the awesome Thunderbird Sports Roadster. We were also treated to an exciting Watkins Glen racetrack experience, with some 64 Thunderbirds taking to the pavement! Gary Boes, Thunderbird Chief Nameplate Engineer, gave us the extra added pleasure of seeing the new 2003 Thunderbird!

Check back soon for lots more info, articles, and pictures on the convention! For now, you'll have to be satisfied with the Glen and a few pictures of the 2003 Thunderbird.

Cool Seminar!

Mike Murray, top vintage car restorer, gave a seminar on restoration and its many facets for Big 'Birds. He has personally redone, rebuilt, or repaired literally hundreds of vintage cars.

Thanks to Ford Motor Company!

Nancy Gioia, VLD/Lifestyle Vehicles (previously Chief Thunderbird Nameplate Engineer), was unable to attend this year's convention. She sent in her stead Gary Boes (current Chief Nameplate Engineer). He, along with Miles Johnson of Living Legends, spoke at both our Friday night cookout and the Awards Banquet on Saturday. We thank Miles, Gary, and Gary's lovely wife Jennifer for spending the weekend with us at our highly successful 9th annual convention.
