It is with much sadness that I am informing you of the passing of Orville Zastrow. Orville, his wife Bea and son Earl, have been key members of the Mid-Atlantic Thunderbird Club for over 20 years, and charter members of the ITC. Orville has been of invaluable support and assistance to Bea as a past president of the MATC, as well as during her current tenure as Newsletter editor. Funeral arrangement are incomplete. A memorial service is being planned. We will advise you of the arrangements when they are finalized.

The memorial service for Orville will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 8 at Middletown United Methodist Church, 7108 Fern Circle, Middletown, MD 21769. The church has a website: www.mumcmd.org. Driving directions: From I70: Take I70 West to Alternate 40, Exit 49, marked Braddock Heights/Middletown. At the traffic light turn left onto Alt. 40 and go up a grade to the top to a traffic light (Maryland Ave.). Go thru the light downhill approx. ? mile. Turn left at Fern Lane, and then make an immediate right onto Fern Circle to the church. (Note – there is no entrance to the church off of Alt. 40.) If you miss Fern Lane you will immediately see the church on the left. Turn around and come back to Fern Lane.

From US Rt. 15: Take US Rt. 15 south and turn right onto US Rt. 40 (West Patrick St.). Stay in the left lane past several shopping centers and turn left onto Alt. 40. Go thru the light at I70 exit, go up a grade to the top to a traffic light (Maryland Ave.). Go thru the light downhill approx. ? mile. Turn left at Fern Lane, and then make an immediate right onto Fern Circle to the church. If you miss that you will immediately see the church on the left. There is no entrance off of Alt. 40.
